I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to both of Docs families. I had the pleasure of growing up with Doc,Rosemarie and the kids. Our paths crossed many times with our military postings. After retirement Doc and Rosemarie and my parents Jack and Mae McBeth kept in close contact. They visited each other frequently in spite of being on opposite coasts. In recent years( since my dads passing) I had the pleasure of meeting Kay and visiting with Kay and Doc at my moms apt in Barrie. Jack passed away 4 years ago but Doc still kept in touch with mom and would visit when he and Kay were in Barrie visiting family. I also worked at RVH with Kays Daughter. Please think of Doc with a quirky smile as you ride your bike, keep in touch with your friends and enjoy life to the fullest... in typical Doc Watson Style. He was one of the good guys!I truly never knew his name was Ronald! Thinking of you all ..Bonnie Forgrave ( McBeth)

It is with much sadness that our family heard of Doc's death this week.Doc and my father [Jack McBeth] shared many a laugh while in the services together and after retirement. The 2 of them shared a wonderful sense of humor. Dad always spoke very highly of Doc and respected him as a great RCAF buddy and friend. Dad too enjoyed his biking, but in his much younger years. Dad retired his racing bike many years ago.I am certain the 2 shared stories on that level along the way.I will long remember Doc's easy smile .
In sympathy, Cheryl McBeth Preston
