Daphne Beattie Obituary

BEATTIE, Daphne Muriel (nee Bourque) Passed on very peacefully Saturday, February 5th , 2005 holding her daughter Cecilia's hand as her grandson Curtis read a prayer for spiritual growth. Daphne was loved and will be dearly missed by her husband of 58 years, Robert Beattie, her children, Clyde, Bruce, Philip, Cecilia and Robyn, her 14 grandchildren, and her 9 great-grandchildren. Mom with Dad committed their lives to the service of Baha'u'llah and the Bahai Faith as pioneers in Scotland, Quebec, Honduras, Western Samoa, Tahiti, Hong Kong, Bahamas, Barbados, Hungary, and China. Daphne had a tremendous love of learning and dedicated much of her life to study and teaching early childhood development and the progressive revelations of World Religions. She touched many lives all over the world and fortunately has left us with an important legacy of stories and her book yet to be published. Daphne's family invite all who wish to remember our mother in prayer and memorial to join with us on Tuesday, February 8th, beside her beloved ocean, in the Lobby Lounge at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel at 1:00pm. 38539
