WILDE, Allan March 1938 to November 2012 We are profoundly saddened by the passing of Allen; husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and friend to so many. Allan was born in Nelson, B.C. on March 26th, 1938. He passed away on Saturday, Nov. 10th at Victoria Hospice; he fought 'the great fight' but succumbed to lung cancer. Allan is survived by his loving wife Elma, and leaves to mourn his daughter Wendy, son Ken (Tammy), step-son Troy (Chantal) Ziegler and step-daughter Tera Ziegler. Allan was blessed by his granddaughters Sarah and Gina, grandsons Zachary and Elliot and his great grandson Damien. Grandpa/Papa will be so missed. Allan was predeceased by his mother Sybil and stepfather Ernie. Allan enjoyed a wonderful career at C.P. Rail for 37 years, in his later years he was proud to work as a Conductor on the E & N Railroad. He was an active volunteer at many events in town, he was very proud of Victoria and to be a part of world curling and golfing events. Allan enjoyed so many fun times with his good friends, such as golfing, cruising, fishing and simply hanging out 'at the cabin'. The family would like to give a heart-felt thank you to Dr. William Bullock who gave us so much care and support. Along with Dr. Con Rusnak for his personal support and guidance. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at the Victoria Cancer Clinic and Hospice. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 24th at 2:00pm at First Memorial, 4673 Falaise Drive. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victoria Cancer Clinic or Hospice. 'He was the best'
