BEADLE, Arthur Robert 1917 - 2012 After a long and active life, passed away at home surrounded by his family on December 18, 2012 in his 96th year. Peggie, his loving wife of 51 years predeceased him in 1993. He will be lovingly remembered by his six children, eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, his niece and his brother & best friend Ernie. Arthur was born in Esquimalt and grew up in James Bay. Growing up on the coast led to his life-long passion for boats and sailing. Dad was a proud member of IBEW and worked as a Lineman for BC Electric, BC Power Commission & BC Hydro. In recent years, he was often heard to say he had received a pension from BC Hydro longer than he did a paycheque. An excellent craftsman and jack of all trades he was never without a project or an offer to lend a hand. He will be missed by all who knew him. Special thanks to Janet and Margaret our wonderful Home and Community Care Nurses, to Dr. Kevin Wiley for his caring support and for always having time for Dad's stories and to the Red Cross equipment loans program. ... think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched... for nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much. At Dad's requested there will be no service.
