This is 3 years late, as I just found out. I knew Ben well when he studied in Nova Scotia. Road many a Sambro loop with him and swam often in Kearny lake. I have not met a nicer person and kinder soul. He left a profound impact on me and everyone he met. Cheers to Ben
To his family sorry to hear this. Very sorry for your loss. He will be greatly missed.

I was shocked to learn yesterday of Ben's sudden passing in the prime of life. In pursuing his twin passions of triathlon and architecture, the latter for which I had the privilege of acting as his mentor over the past few years, I sensed he lived life fully on his own terms and was the keenest of learners. His light footprint on earth, kind spirit, positive energy and cheerful demeanour were unfailing and inspirational. I shall miss his willing smile and cherish the memories of times spent together. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace gentle Ben.

So very sorry for your loss Maredith. This is such shocking news and not news any mother should receive. My mother Edie (MacDonald) Hiscock (Nancy's sister) just informed me of this devastating news today in Calgary. She and Jack also send their condolences and love to you and your family.

My condolences to Ben's family back home in Pictou and to all who were touched by his light. I recall giving Ben a few tennis lessons when he was a young boy and sad to learn of his passing not far from where I now live as well.
