SAILS, David Stephen August 28, 1950 - September 10, 2013 Beloved brother, uncle, great uncle and friend, Steve passed away peacefully at his Kitsilano home on September 10th, 2013. Steve was a gentle, caring, intelligent and fun-loving man who made new friends wherever life took him. He was born and raised in Victoria, graduating from Oak Bay High School in 1968 and from the University of Victoria, with a degree in Sociology in 1974. His working life was spent as a letter carrier with Canada Post until ill health led to early retirement. Steve loved Neil Young, baseball and time spent with family and friends. Mourning his loss are brother Michael Sails, sisters Marnie Wingham and Mary Finnegan, nephews and nieces Michael Frampton (Megumi), Kelly Wakeham (Duncan White), Andrew, Alanna, James, Patrick and Trevor Sails, Brittany and Ryan Wingham, grand nephews and nieces Kieran, Logan, Jasmine and Lily. Also survived by friends Jim and Elaine, Dick and Karen, David, and all his Postie friends. Steve was so funny, so caring; he lifted all our spirits and we will miss him forever. The family wishes to thank Dr. P. Sestak, the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Paul's Hospital Cardiac Care and Internal Medicine Units as well as Braeden Hospital for their excellent care of Steve. No service at Steve's request.
