Doreen Perrigo (nee Brown) went peacefully to be with her Lord and Saviour on November 14 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by her husband of almost 60 years, Doug Perrigo, and is survived by her children Beverley, Betty (Barry), Dwight (Deb), Neil (Sherry) and 10 much loved grandchildren and a soon to arrive great granddaughter. Doreen and Doug met and were married in Ottawa. They were very involved in their church and spent many good years with friends and extended family while raising their children. In 1970 they moved to Victoria where Doreen became involved in many activities at Glad Tidings Church. For over 16 years Doreen enjoyed being a volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society where she was able to meet and talk with patients and families as she served coffee and tea. She was a very hospitable person and enjoyed having people in her home. Doreen was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and most of all, a devoted Nana to her beloved grandchildren. Doreen knew she was much loved and she will be greatly missed. She is finally home!

Special thanks to Eileen Drake for her exemplary care of Mom over the past years. There will be a private family memorial service. No flowers by request. Donations can be made to Nanoose Bay Camp.
