RUMNEY, Edward Alfred 1930 - 2012 Ed passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 19, 2012 in Victoria, BC. Ed was born in Vancouver, raised in "Port" Alberni, and moved to Victoria after meeting his wife, Marg. Survived by his loving wife of 58 years and 4 children: Connie (Glen), Pat (Robin), Dawn (Larry), and Roy (Linda). Ed enjoyed his 9 grandchildren: Samantha, Sarah (Marc), Stephen, Nick, Kris (Sean), Lara, Kyla, Alycia, Katie; and 1 great grandson Isaac. Gone to join his mother, Gladys, siblings Jack, Joan, Bob, and Reg; survived by Keith and Connie. Ed experienced an array of jobs, but his heart was in the logging and plywood industry. Ed and Marg spent many happy family years in Bowser, camping, fishing and hunting throughout BC, and retirement years travelling with family and friends through the back roads of BC. Ed will be greatly remembered by all his family and friends for his great sense of humour and his quiet wit, generous and calm demeanour. We all thank Mom for her many years of love and endless dedication to make Dad's life better. There will be no service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
