BROWN, Fay Christine 1922 - 2012 Beloved mother, grandma and friend, Fay passed away on December 31, 2012 at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver after a short illness at the age of 90. A lifelong B.C. resident, Fay was born and raised in Kelowna, but she also lived in Prince George, Trail, North Vancouver, Nanaimo and Victoria. Fay was an accomplished athlete in badminton and tennis and later in life, golf, while she was a member of the Royal Colwood Golf Club. She was also a lifelong naturalist, enjoying the wide variety of wildlife (mostly birds) from her seaside home and her place on Saturna Island. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Predeceased by her husband Murray and her daughter Karen, she is survived by her son Alan (Shelley) and five grandchildren. Special thanks to Dr. Bin Lim and the doctors and staff at St. Paul's, who provided excellent care in her final days. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 16th, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Fifty Five + Association facilities at Cordova Bay Elementary School, #1-5238 Cordova Bay Road, Victoria, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Wildlife Federation.
