LOW, Florence Elizabeth (Flo) (nee Smith) August 1, 1926 February 10, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom Flo, peacefully in her sleep 11 months to the day after the passing of her true love Bob. Flo is survived by 5 loving daughters, Joan Morse, Vicki (Harvey) Wanless, Marg (Klaus) Peter, Bev Bertram and Bobbi Low Hindman (Dave). Eight grandchildren, Dennis (Kiran) Mertton, Don Mertton, Jessica Peter (John), Aaron (Christine) Baxter, Ryan Baxter (Mindy), Nikki Baxter (Ryan), Marina and Katiy Hindman. Great grandsons, Tyler Thompson, Christopher Mackintosh, and Ethan Mertton. Special family members David Mertton, Ed Baxter, and Ron Hindman. Sister Dorothy Sage and brother Jack (Gwen) Smith. Brother-in-law Dr. George Low and sister-inlaw Peggy Merritt of Ontario and many nieces and nephews. Flo was born in Vancouver, B.C. and raised in the Lake Hill area of Victoria. Flo graduated from Mount View High School and Sprott Shaw Community College and leaves behind many friends from Victoria and Mackenzie, B.C. Mom made many dear friends through Motor Sports, boating and the Sidney Lions Club. Mom spent her last 2 years as a resident of Saanich Peninsula Hospital ECU 1 where she made many wonderful and dear friends who will dearly miss her. Moms winning smile, bubbly personality and infectious laugh instantly drew people to her. Our home was always filled with music, laughter and many dear friends. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude for the loving care that was given to her from the Drs. and many caregivers at SPH ECU1. A service will be held at St. Elizabeth Roman Catholic Church, 10030 Third St., Sidney, B.C. on Thursday February 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Fr. Rolf Hasenack O.P. officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall. 648925
