Gina HAPPICH-FISK Obituary

HAPPICH-FISK, Gina Gina was born in Germany, and immigrated as a child to Ottawa, Ontario. She studied in Ottawa, Hawaii and Germany, receiving M.A. degrees in Linguistics and English Literature, then worked in Ottawa with the Treasury Board Secretariat of the Federal Public Service. After retirement, she and her husband George Fisk (formerly of Montreal and Ottawa) moved to Victoria. Gina loved flowers and gardening, and while in Ottawa was active in federal Conservative associations and in community groups. Three years ago, she was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer. She fought it with determination, and travelled and remained active until just before her death at age 65. Gina is survived by husband George, sisters Herta and Selma, and brother Manfred. The funeral will be in Ottawa. Victoria friends are invited to call George or to leave private condolences at bit.ly/JnXKwn . 657130
