Gordon Lakusta Obituary

It's with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gordon William Lakusta after a courageous battle with cancer. Gord will be lovingly missed by his wife of 55 years Joan, daughter Bonnie (Sadeep), grandchildren Saleena and Shaun, sister Angeline (Marshall), cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

Born in Two Hills Alberta, Gord resided in many places finally settling in Victoria in 1972. Gord loved sports. In his younger years he played ball, hockey and curled. He also loved to watch and support his daughter and later grandchildren in their activities. Sports aside, Gord had other interests including photography, pool, wine making and was an active member of the duplicate bridge club. He had a passion for learning and sharing that knowledge.

A service will be held February 17, 2018 @ 2:00 p.m. at First Memorial Funeral Home, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Cancer Agency 2410 Lee Avenue, Victoria, BC V8R 6V5

Bonnie and family. I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. He and your mom were permanent fixtures, it seemed, at Hyacinth Park in the 'old' days. Everytime we played against you, we could count on one thing for sure.....your parents sitting at your dugout cheering you on. I always enjoyed stopping by and saying hello. I'm glad I got to see your dad last summer at your sons ball game. Take care and know you will always have those wonderful memories stored away!

We were deeply saddened to learn of Gordon's passing. We always looked forward to him bringing his car in for service as we would have a good visit and a few laughs, Gord always had an interesting story to tell!
