I wanted to share that there will be a memorial service for Greig tomorrow, Thursday the 26 at UVIC's Interfaith Chapel from 1:30 - 2:15. THe service is open to the public. Everyone is welcome to attend.

It's been some years since I've had the pleasure of seeing your infectious smile around the biology buildings. However, you never forgot a face! That smile came right back whenever I bumped into you again, in one case years after the last time I saw you. You left an indelible impression on me, and you will be missed.

Greig was a kind man. The way he conducted himself in this life is an example to all of us. Grateful to have known him and had some wonderful conversations over the years during all of those evenings when we were both working away. Positive, open and helpful, Greig exemplified the best of humanity in his time at UVic. He will be missed. Condolences to his friends and family.

Hearing the news of Greig's departure has deeply saddened me. I was fortunate enough to meet Greig in my first week of working at UVic and we have stayed in touch over the last 10 years. He was such a kind and thoughtful man that I will miss dearly! Thank you for enriching our lives with your presence!

I was deeply saddened by the loss of Greig. I enjoyed many conversations with him over the years at UVic. It was always lovely to see his smiling face. Greig was a kind and thoughtful man who will be missed.
