Janice was a beautiful person. A wonderful cousin. So funny when you least expected it. Very quick witted! She was like another little sister. Her and Tracy were fast friends not just cousins and it was special to see them play together and laugh tougher and sing Christmas Carols in so many Christmas pageants directed by our Aunty Patti. Thankfully the memories overwhelm the sadness of your passing. We will see you again and it will be a joyous reunion.

It is with great sorrow that I learned the news of Janice's passing. I had the good fortune of meeting her as a student at Camosun and then working with her in Co-op. She was such a kind and caring person with a big heart always thinking of others.
My dearest condolences to her family and friends - may you all have wonderful memories that bring a smile to your face and given you strength at this time. I know I can see her ready smile and that is how I will remember her.
Warmly,
Kate

We all loved Janice here at Camosun. I worked very closely with her...too close. Two cubicles away. Janice and I shared our love for The Office tv show. I can still hear her huge squeal of delight when I surprised her with a Dwight bobble head doll.....and....if you listen .....very quietly...you will hear..Janice squealing from heaven now.

Dear Mason, Tyler and Helmer family,

My condolences to all of you as I know how much you all meant to Janice. I worked closely with Janice during her time at RRU and she spoke of you all so often. It was always so clear how important her family was to Janice. Mason and Tyler, I remember very clearly when you both came into her life - she was over the moon with happiness.

I will always remember and be grateful for how much Janice blessed my life with laughter and how much she cared about others. I feel so lucky to have so many fun and fond memories of her and so sad that there will be no more.

Rest in peace, Janice. I will miss you.

Dear Mason, Tyler and the Helmer family,

Please accept my sincere condolences for such a tragic and terrible loss...

I had the absolute good fortune to work with Janice in Human Resources at Royal Roads University and have attached a picture, one of many we treasure, that captures what a beautiful Princess Janice was and such a good sport by fully embracing the "Royal" theme to our Halloween dress up in 2008.

When I think of Janice I can't help but smile as she was always so animated and could regale us with stories like no other! Janice was a consummate professional and cared deeply for those she helped in her role as an HR Advisor.

Losing Janice, at such a young age, is such a loss for the world and I take comfort in knowing she is with her grandparents and watching over us all.

Janice was an enthusiastic, positive, hardworking, humble, sweet, innovative, wonderful student and colleague in the Co-op Education Department at Camosun College many years ago. We shared so many laughs together. I feel so sad at this news. She passed far too young.
With loving memories of her.

My heart breaks for such a tragic loss for all of us who loved Janice. She had such a fun spirit, always laughing, and was so kind, generous and loving to all her family. I so enjoyed all the time we spent together as kids, as teenagers and as adults. Summers together and times at the lake are specially treasured memories. I can only take comfort that Janice is at peace now. She's now an angel to watch over us.

Dearest Diana, Mason, Joanne, Tyler, Larry, Margaret and all of the Helmer, Westbrook and related Romanet families,

My heart is with you at this very sad and difficult time. Janice had a loving heart, and was such a generous and kind soul. She had a brilliant smile, and could make anyone feel comfortable when she was in the room.

I will remember the lovely dinners we shared with Janice and the family at holiday times. My heart is broken from Janice's passing so suddenly.

May your loving and beautiful memories of Janice sustain you now, and in all of the years to come.

With love and deepest sympathy,

Trisha
