LARSON-AYERS, June Lucille June Lucille Larson-Ayers 79, of Victoria, BC and Penn Valley, CA died peacefully in Grass Valley, CA on August 2nd, 2012 with her family by her side. She was born January 9, 1933 in Platte, South Dakota. June was the daughter of the late Mary Harding and Howard Nicholson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father George "Bob" Long, first husband of 38 years Richard F. Larson, and brother Thomas Nicholson. June is survived by her husband of 13 years Maurice J. Ayers of Victoria, BC, her children: Danette Harttert of Green Lake, WI; Paul Larson (Michael McWalters) of Alviso, CA; Suzie Nolle (Rick) of Penn Valley, CA; Rich Larson (Julia) of Woodland, CA; Wade Larson (Susan) of Elgin, IL; Peter Larson (Becky Mach) of Bartlett, IL; her grandchildren Lisa Daye, Paige Chaney, Bret Harttert, Sam Larson, and Jake Larson; sister Marilyn Chapman; and step-children Karen, Collin, and Brian Ayers and step-grandchildren Lauren, Michael, and Alicia. June also leaves behind great-grandchildren, family, and friends. June graduated from the Ravenswood School of Nursing, Chicgao, IL in 1954. She was a dedicated RN at Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL until her retirement in 1992. June dedicated her life to her family and the community. She selflessly spent her life giving back to others through her church and through community service.
