It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Margaret at NRGH on January 7, 2013.

Margaret was born in Lantzville, BC and lived most of her life on Vancouver Island. She spent her young life in Wellington and then time in Victoria during the war as a welder in the shipyards.

She married Louis Osiel in 1943 for 39 years until his passing.

She remarried in 1985 to George Callewaert until 2004 until his passing.

Mom loved fishing, playing 31, the slots and her cat Nikki. She lived for her family and loved them all.

She will be sadly missed by her four children: Shirley (Ralph) Skolos, Dianne Henley, Stan (Brenda) Osiel, Terry (Rick) Brink, 8 grandchildren, Kerri, Trina, Bobbi, Michael, Kelly, Ericka, Jessica and Danny and 9 great grandchildren Zackary, Logan, Noah, Spencer, Olivia, Sam, Gavin, Jacksen and Abigail. She is survived by one brother, Fletcher. She was predeceased by many loved ones who will now welcome her home.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, paramedics and all who helped with Margaret's care during her time of need.

The family will welcome relatives and friends to a celebration of Margaret's life on Sunday, January 20th 2013 from 12:00 – 3:00 pm at: 5461 Hammond Bay Road, Nanaimo, BC.

She will be forever missed and remembered, and her spirit will live on through those who knew and loved her.
