COLIGADO, Mauro Comendador August 21, 1940 – September 21, 2012 It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Mauro Comendador Coligado. Survived by his loving wife of 45 years Norma, daughter Jennifer (Peter), son Roderick (Bernadette), daughter Tracy (Andrew), and grandchildren Hayley, Alexandra, James, Abigail, Finlay and one more on the way. As well as brother Briccio and family in Victoria and many relatives in the Philippines. Born in Nagcarlan, Philippines, he graduated with his Bachelors Degree from the University of the Philippines, then attended Texas A&M where he completed his Master's Degree. This is where he met his beloved wife Norma. Married in Montreal in 1967, they then started their family. From there he attended the University of Guelph where he achieved his PhD. Mauro and his family moved to Victoria, BC in 1974 and have resided here ever since. A Memorial service will be held Friday, September 28th, 2012 at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4040 Nelthorpe Street followed by a Celebration of Life from 1:00-3:00 pm at the Delta Ocean Pointe Resort, 45 Songhees Road.
