BARTSCH, Menno "Butch" Flight Lieutenant Menno died peacefully in Hospice on February 21, 2013. Menno, "Butch" to his Air Force friends, served his country as a Halifax Bomber Pilot in WWII and thereafter completed a full career in the RCAF. Then a stint with the Mars Water Bomber before undertaking a second career with BC Parks. He is survived by his wife, Olive; son, Terry; daughter, Dawn and their families, sister-in-law, Margaret; nieces, nephews and their families. A special Thank You to Dr Paul Henry and Dr Saleena Djearam for their loving care. Our special thanks also goes out to all at the Feltham Medical Centre and to the many caregivers who cared for Menno. A memorial service will be held on March 16 at 2:30 pm at St Anne's, St Edmond's Anglican Church, 407 Wembley Rd, Parksville, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Victoria Hospice at the Royal Jubilee Hospital.
