BRISCOE, Patricia Jane (nee Berry) January 22, 1926 - January 1, 2013 and BRISCOE, Deryk Anderson (Peter) August 28, 1919 - January 12, 2013 Pat and Peter were inseparable to all of their friends and family for over 67 years. Married for more than sixty years, best of friends and extraordinary parents, their absence is felt every day. We cherish their lives together and the strength they brought to our family. Mom was born in New Westminster, B.C. to John and Mary Berry and became a strong voice in a family of 10. Dad was born in Warwick, England to Wilfred and Sarah Briscoe and was nicknamed 'Peter' at birth. They met when both were employed by the Royal Bank in New Westminster. Mom went on to be a wonderful stay at home Mother, taxiing three sons, Gilbert (Linda), Peter (Lynda) and Robert (Lisa) to all their activities. Dad had a long (42 years) successful career with the Royal Bank retiring in November 1978 as Regional Manager BC-Okanagan-Kootenays and he always made time for his family. Strongly committed to the strength of their faith, family, grandsons, granddaughters and extended family through the marriages of their sons. Our families would like to thank all those friends and family who visited with our parents during the past few years. This helped ease the strain of distance knowing those who cared about Mom and Dad were close when the sons could not be. We give thanks to those at Oak Bay Lodge for the thoughtfulness and care given to our Mom during the past two years. We also give thanks to the community at Carlton House who welcomed Dad and finally to the staff on 6N Victoria General Hospital who showed kindness and respect during the few weeks, prior to his passing. A joint memorial service will be held at the Church of Our Lord on Saturday, February 16, 2013, 625 Blanshard Street, Victoria, BC V8W 3G6 at 2 p.m. In lieu of Flowers; donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Alzheimer Society. Condolences may be offered to the family at "> .
