Richard Whitman Obituary

WHITMAN, Richard Ray On November 21, 2015, Richard Ray Whitman passed away. Ric was a proud father, singer, songwriter and was loved and cherished by many. He was the youngest and littlest of three brothers, but that didn't take away from how large his heart was. The frontman of many bands, his stage presence was golden, slapping the bass and singing his heart out. Even through losing his arm he showed strength. Teaching himself to golf again and play slide guitar. He leaves behind his two sons Ryley and Thomas, his brothers Larry and Terry, niece Charity and family. He joins his recently departed niece Kelly, his parents and many musically inspirational idols. In his life he touched many souls and played on many heart strings. For a man whose mission in life was to put smiles on faces he went far and above his call of duty.

Cherishing memories of our quiet nights over a bottle of wine, your gentle singing in my ear, the private gestures to me from onstage.....making me feel so special. Thank you for sharing your gifts: your music, your humour, your love - you have touched us all.
