Robert John FEHR

FEHR, Robert (Bob) John January 8, 1953 - May 21, 2013 Peacefully at home on May 21st. Bob is survived by his partner Lorna MacDonald and their sons Alastair and Callum. Predeceased by his parents Jacob and Susanna and sisters Susie, Helen and Miranda, Bob will be fondly remembered by his siblings Kathy, Judy (Dennis), Mary (Hal), Annie (Tom), Jake (Darlene), Ed (Sherril), Allen (Susan), Susan (Allan ). Born in Morris, Manitoba, Bob grew up in Winnipeg. He attended Churchill High and the University of Manitoba where he graduated with a degree in Fine Arts in 1977. In 1978 Bob and Lorna moved to Victoria. Bob worked for many years as Art Director of Monday Magazine where he made lifelong friends. In 2008 Bob joined the BC Government where he thoroughly enjoyed being part of the design team for Government Communications and Public Engagement. A creative spirit, Bob loved photography, design, puttering in his workshop, gardening and cooking. He spent many happy hours cheering his sons on in sports and in life. Thanks to Dr. Benjamin How for his extraordinary care and support in Bob's final year. Bob's team at the BC Cancer Agency - Dr. Andrew Attwell, Dr. Jennifer Goulart, Dr. Peter Battershill and the staff provided care above and beyond medical attention. A memorial and reception will be held at the Union Club of British Columbia on Monday, June 10th, 2:00 p.m. If desired, in lieu of flowers please donate to the Victoria Hospice Foundation.
