August 20, 1929 - January 16, 2013

It is with great sadness, our loving Dad passed away peacefully in his sleep with his wife Evelyn and son Ric at his side. Born in India, immigrated to Canada with his parents at a very young age, he lived and worked in Victoria his whole life. He was a dedicated and proud family person and especially cherished his grandchildren and great grandchildren. They brought much joy to his life. His high school years were precious to him and he attended reunions regularly. Never short on philosophy and conversation, he was always there when in need. His infectious smile and wisdom brought comfort to those around him. He was looked upon as an icon and pillar to all of the family. He is predeceased by his first wife Audrey, brother Bhag and sister Jagdish and survived by his wife Evelyn and sons Ric (Shirley) and Gerry (Dawn), daughter Gina (Mike); brother Weer (Marcy), sister Jaginder (Shinda); grandchildren Sarah (Mike), Stephen and Russell; great grandchildren Tyler and Jaxsen; step grandchildren Tatiana, Stu (Aleah) and Alissa (Chris); step great grandchildren Liam, Jacob, Tristan and James and many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on February 1, 2013 at 2pm at the First Memorial Funeral Home 4725 Falaise Drive Victoria BC. In lieu of flowers, donations to Vancouver Island Kidney Patients' Association or Victoria Red Cross Equipment Rental would be appreciated.
