We spent many months rooming together working on cruise ships. I was shocked to learn of his passing . My condolences Mark . Carly, I never met you but Steve talked of you often. He loved music, life, his children, photography, travel and exploring. Some of the best memories I have are associated with working with Steve. Goodbye my friend. May we meet again!

I knew Steve from the Forge days and he came and had dinner with us in Prince Rupert when he was in the area. Awesome bass player and a heck of a nice guy! I'm SO SAD to hear he's moved on to a new stage....

Steve and I were best friends since first day of grade eight. I miss our weekly phone calls and meeting when we were in the same city. He loved his kids and family of which they allowed me to become part of. There goes the phone,it might be him...

Steve and I first met when he gave me bass lessons. We both went on to play many gigs in and around Victoria. Any one who knew Steve will remember his kindness and dry sense of humour and must importantly that he was always a gray friend to fellow musicians. We last spoke in late fall while he was here in Vancouver. Rest in peace pal.

I worked on a cruise ship with Steve in the Caribbean in 2006 - 2007. I was playing solo piano and he asked me to join his band who were playing the main showroom. I declined the invitation only because he was working the ships full time and I didn't want to do that. He was a friggin AWESOME player. Perhaps one of the best players I have ever met. RIP Steve. You will be missed !

I am so saddened by the sudden death of Steve. Lovely guy, and his love of music was infectious. He was the first one to turn me onto music and guitars way back when. Even further back we always enjoyed playing roller hockey at Norgate School ! He was Dickie Moore and I was Charlie Hodge. Rest in peace Steve, the memories are always with me, All the Best, Mark Armanini

sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I knew him when he attended Mt. Douglas High in Victoria, and through the band scene in Victoria. He was an awesome bass player, even in the early days, and was much admired by members of other bands in Victoria. My sincere condolences to his family.
