McCARRON, Thomas Patrick ("Bumpy") 1944 - 2013 Patrick passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home on his 69th birthday, Wednesday January 9th 2013. Patrick was born in Winnipeg but grew up and remained in Ottawa where he worked as an interior designer. He is survived by his daughters Farika and Lauren - their mother Maryke, his granddaughter Flavia as well as his sister Sharon, her son Paul and brother Donald and his wife Debbie. Pre-deceased by his parents, Mildred (nee Shea) and Bertram McCarron and his sister Madeline McCarron. Patrick was an exceptionally talented man who over 45 years established himself as one of the foremost designers in his field. He will be remembered too as a devoted parent, grandparent and brother. His sense of humor was as distinctive as his imagination and he was a source of inspiration to many who met and worked with him. His resourcefulness and dependability - both in terms of his profession and his numerous and abiding relationships of all kinds - will be much missed. There will be a celebration of Patrick's life at the National Art Gallery, Ottawa, on Friday 18th January from 5-8PM - family, friends and colleagues are invited to attend. The family request that any donations be made towards the scholarship fund set up in Patrick's name at the Ontario College of Art and Design where he was a student.
The Guest Book is expired.
