PARK, William Graham, F/L (Retired) April 12, 1923 - Bratton, SK February 7, 2014 - Victoria, BC Graham Park passed away peacefully at the Lodge at Broadmead on February 7, 2014 at the age of 90 years. He was born and raised on the family farm near Bratton, SK to James and Grace Park. He enlisted in the RCAF in 1941 and served his country as an armament technician with 135 (F) Sqn. at Pat Bay. Later commissioned as an armament officer, he had a lengthy career which spanned the CF104 Starfighter era to become a nuclear weapons specialist. He married the late Dorothye Elizabeth (Bette) Milligan in 1946 and after many military postings across Canada and Europe, they retired to Victoria in 1970. From then he worked for Amberine Products Ltd. in Esquimalt, retiring 1988. He and Bette loved to travel and cruise. In addition, his final retirement years allowed him to enjoy his woodworking and gardening hobbies, to play cribbage, and to volunteer with his church and community. His love of family and friends, his willingness to help others and his gentlemanly manner will always be cherished. Graham will be lovingly remembered by his eldest son Don (Leslie) of Calgary, AB; grandson Chris (Natasha) of Melbourne, Australia; granddaughter Dr. Lisa Stewart (Ben Schnoor) and great granddaughter Raven of Marina, CA; sister Mary Johnsrude (Dick) of Saskatoon; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Dorothye Elizabeth (Bette); his son Alan; his brothers Gordon (Myrtle) and Jim (Carol) of Saskatchewan. The family would like to express a special thanks and appreciation to Ken Burns for his support as caregiver while Graham lived at the Renaissance Retirement Residence, and later as his visiting companion; and to the kind staff of the Lodge at Broadmead for their excellent care. A memorial service and Celebration of Graham's Life will be held on Wednesday March 5, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter & St. Paul's Anglican Church 1379 Esquimalt Road, Esquimalt.
