KENDRICK, Robert Robert Kendrick, born February 7, 1922, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2014 with his wife and daughter Tracy by his side. Predeceased by his parents, brothers and first wife Burnice and lovingly remembered by his wife Harriet; daughters Mary (Bert) and Tracy; sons Michael (Kim) and Paul; granddaughters Jaye, Coren, Kyla, Megan and Ella; grandson Aidan and great grandchildren Teighan, Kaelan, Nikola and Julien. Robert served during WWII in the merchant navy in the Battle of the Atlantic, the Indian Ocean, the North Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. He taught English Literature and was an administrator in the Victoria school district, and after retirement worked at the Ministry of Education and taught at the University of Victoria. Robert is fondly remembered by many former students. He was a master model ship builder and made many beautiful models, some completely carved by hand. Robert loved to travel with his wife Harriet and they had many wonderful adventures together all over the world. He was a gentleman and his kindness and strength will be missed and remembered by many. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 15 at 2pm at St. George's Anglican Church, 3909 St. George's Lane, Cadboro Bay. Thanks to the wonderful staff at Royal Jubilee Hospital for wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's memory to the St. George's Narthex building fund or to the charity of your choice. Condolences may be offered to the family at
