I was at 437 Sqn when L/Gen Adamson become the CO of 437. He was a friendly, encouraging, gentleman who will be sadly missed. My sincere condolences to the family.

Even when expected, losing someone like David is not easy. I will have many fond memories of working in the garden with him and after work conversations with both he and Marj over a glass of wine (or 2!). Some of my favorite Friday afternoons! What a pleasure to have known him.

Another legendary air force leader departs. David will be remembered for his influence on many postwar officers who respected him and emulated him.
