Our thoughts are with the entire family. Jane and Brian were sharing their memories of the family this morning. We have many - including my dropping in on the Stovel home in Metz as I mopedded from England to Zweinruckent the summer of 1965! (Brian) Caddy Lake is so much part of our family story that we have either visited there or know so much about it that feel we have! Jane, Brian (Terry), Diana and Sally. Ches took his last flight on April 9. Jane continues in her bungalow in a retirement complex in Belleville.

The NORAD community is very sad to hear this news of General Stovel, one of the great early leaders in the Command's history. On behalf of the hundreds of Canadians who now wear the NORAD patch, I pass on our deepest condolences to the Stovel family and thank you all for the service you provided to Canada as you supported the General in his tremendous career.
