DUNCAN, Robert Daman MSc Mount Allison. PhD Chemistry, McGill. Born October 17, 1914 in Sackville, NB, died August 26, 2012 in Cornwall, ON. Retired as Vice President of Abitibi Price, Labour Relations, Research and Development in 1979. It is with deep sadness that Robert William Duncan (Sheila) and Elizabeth Jean Posgate (Dale) announce the death of their beloved father. He lived a full life and had many passions during his 97 years: his family, paper making, the mills and their people, his Buicks, trout fishing, the stock market, politics. Known for his keen sense of fairness, power of observation and indefatigable curiosity, he touched people's lives wherever he went. He deserves his rest. Predeceased by his wife Jean Elizabeth Ayer and sister Mary Ellen Bissell. Survived by his brother Donald Stuart Duncan and grandsons Matthew Robert Duncan, William Scott Duncan and Samuel Robert Posgate. In keeping with Robert's wishes, there will be no visitation. A private service will be held in Sackville, NB at a later date. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, Ontario.
