BUGSLAG, John Charles (Jack) December 1, 1922 - September 2, 2013 Dad was born in Duncan, BC, he passed away in his sleep at the Jubilee Hospital. Dad loved his house at Prospect Lake where he spent almost 60 years. Mom passed away in May 2011 and they were happily married for 66 years. Dad spent 25 years in the Canadian Navy and served in World War II and the Korean War. After his naval career he spent the next 15 years working for the Saanich School District. Dad is survived by his daughter Pat Larsen (Bob), and sons Bob (Linda) and Bryan (Leanne), 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Special thanks to Dr. Philip Kelly for his many years of care; the nurses and doctors at the Jubilee Hospital 3 South for their compassionate care; the veterans program at Broadmead Lodge; Veterans Affairs Canada; Beacon home support; VIHA staff and the staff at Dad's favorite pub the Blue Coyote. No service by request. A celebration of Dad's life will be held at his home on Prospect Lake at 2:00 on September 29. Always in our hearts. Love you Dad.
