GSM will be forever with me in the things I do and say every day. Not a day goes by that I do not use one of the many lessons he taught me - don't give them a stick to beat you with or maybe yes maybe no. GSM taught me that my parents knew what they were talking about and everyone deserves to be treated fairly without the restrictions of stereotypes and misconceptions.

I only knew Gerald from the Grand Pacific health club. He was always very engaging, kind and willing to chat. His mind was so wide ranging and encyclopedic. I loved to discuss ideas with him. A great man.

We are so sorry for your loss. Your father was larger than life and we truly missed him when he left Kingston. His wit and thoughtfulness contributed so much to our discussions.

So sorry to hear of the passing of such a special person. We still have on tape his recital of how to write an Afrikaans "brief" from a visit to Efrat years ago.

I'm sorry to hear of this sad news. May his memory be a blessing, condolences to Lyn and family! I will always remember Gerry wondering why the Challah he bought from me didn't rise, not realizing I forgot to tell him to defrost and let the loaf rise before putting it into the oven. Such a sweet man, with a great sense of humour, he will be missed!
