My dad sat beside Walter at BCHydro when I was a kid. I still have a photo of him and my dad fishing at Cowichan Lake in the 60's I guess. He always said hi to me when he saw me coming in to see my dad.

Donna & family,
We received a call from outwest to lets us know of Walters passing.
Deb & I read his obituary on line. He enjoyed a very busy, happy life to the very end. One cannot ask for more.
When I think of Walter, I always remember him turning up on his bike at Moms as she was taking her homemade bread out of the oven. She always made a special loaf for him. He also would showup with Audrey on the crossbar of his bike.
As one gets older and moves away from home, you lose track of those not living within visiting distance. I've been here in Ontario since the fall of 1952 - 61 1/2 years.
We know you will miss him, but not want him back to suffer.
Remember all the good times, Love and Laughter.

And Donna often came into my work at the Army and Navy Vets club. He was always interested in myself and my family, loved to listen and chat. He was always very pleasant and respectful, he will be very missed by everyone at the club. It was truly a pleasure to know him.

Dear Donna and family - I'm very sorry for your loss. I'll always fondly remembered Walter (a.k.a. Waimea). We had a great conversation last spring and I thanked him for the kindness and generosity he and your family always showed me. My sincere condolences and very best to you all.

Many years have passed since Walter left BC Hydro but he was always the go to guy because you knew he would get it done right. It was only a couple of weeks ago one of our servicemen had worked at his home and had mentioned that Walter had said to say hi. A very thoughtful gentleman has left us but will not be forgotten.
