FRENETTE, Joseph Albert Died peacefully at Mount St. Mary's Hospital April 11, 2014. He was born on January 12, 1924 in Shell River, Saskatchewan. He joined the Army in 1942 and was part of the D-Day invasion forces. He returned home in 1946 only to re-enlist. He served in the far north as part of NORAD, in Europe at Lars, Germany and as a peace keeper in Egypt. After retiring from the Forces, he worked at the Vancouver International Airport in Air Conditioning. He is predeceased by his long time partner, Polly Banco; his parents, Germaine and Joseph Frenette; his sisters, Antoinette Grenier (Gilbert), Rachel Sullivan (Vincent); his brother Lee (Leon). He is survived and lovingly remembered by his daughter, Louise Webster (Rob); his sisters, Martha Quagliotti (Ken), Irene Richardson (Norm), Anna Bryan (Jack); his brother, Don and many nephews and nieces. A family lead prayer service will take place at McCall's Funeral Home, Johnson and Vancouver Streets, Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. A Celebration of Life Mass will take place at Sacred Heart Parish Wednesday, April 16, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Royal Oak Burial Park with a reception following at Sequoia Gardens Memorial, 4665 Falaise Drive. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Condolences may be offered to the family at
