Ivy Blunt Obituary

BLUNT, Ivy Victoria (Johnson) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Ivy, on June 12, 2007. She was born in Victoria, August 2, 1921. Predeceased by her husband, Ed, in 1994, she is survived by her loving family twin sons, Ken (Paulette) and Bill (Shannon); grandchildren, Tracy (John), Nicola (Simon), Paul (Brandy) and Craig (Sally); great-grandchildren, Ella, Ronan and Lachlan; sister and best friend, Lillian Pears. Mother was a long time member of Gorge Vale Golf Course and later Ardmore. She loved golfing; fishing with Ed and her family and camping with her grandchildren. Mother lived at Willis Point for over 30 years before moving to Summergate Village where she has spent her last 8 years. There she enjoyed meeting new friends and participating in Bridge, Crib, Marjon, Lawn Bowling, Shuffleboard, swimming and fun travel excursions. Mother has touched the lives of all who knew her with her loving, caring, thoughtful ways and great sense of humour. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC & Yukon, 107-1001 Cloverdale, Victoria, BC V8X 4C9. Memorial to be held June 22, 2007 at 2:30pm at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 4725 Falaise Drive. Reception to follow. 380293

Dear Ken and Bill and families:
View Royal residents, past and present, will be saddened to read of your Mom's passing. Our age group will long remember what a truly nice lady she was, helping out each week at our cub pack meetings and cooking at summer cub camp at Young's Lake. My wife joins me in sending our sincere sympathy.
