Michael Watkins
Michael Watkins, 47, of Rogersville passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 at ECM Hospital. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Elkins East Chapel. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. with Bro. Audie Bogus officiating. Burial will follow in Barkley Cemetery.
Michael loved life. He loved living and most of all he loved his family. Michael worked most of his life as a lineman. He had five beautiful children and one grandson he was very proud of. Michael and his wife, Connie, were married on February 16, 1996. He loved her with every ounce of his being as she loved him also. Michael also coached little league football for 14 years for LCHS. He was very proud of all his children's sports accomplishments.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Watkins; children, Trevor, Lane, Trace, Kayla and Justin Watkins; grandson, Bentley; and mother, Lorene Watkins. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Joe Watkins.
Pallbearers will be Trace Watkins, Derrick Gray, Lane Watkins, Trevor Watkins, Phillip Watkins, and Brandon Watkins with Justin Watkins serving as honorary pallbearer.
