Sammy Fuller
Sammy "Alabama LeRoy" Fuller, 68, of Zip City, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at ECM Hospital. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday at Elkins Funeral Home. No funeral services are planned.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a mechanic, truck driver, lifelong CB'er and a die hard Auburn fan.
Mr. Fuller is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elizabeth Fuller; son, Samuel "Sambo" Fuller; grandchildren, D.J. Fuller, Breanna Dixon and Phillip Garrett McMasters; sister, Lema Ruth "Sissy" Fuller; and brother, David Fuller.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Ruby Fuller; and one brother, Willie D Fuller.
The family would like to thank everyone at the Florence Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for all of their care and support.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Florence Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at 2107 Cloyd Blvd. Florence, AL 35630.

My prayers are with Liz, Sambo, DJ, and the entire family. I enjoyed taking care of Sam every single day!Hey gave me such a hard time when Auburn beat Alabama and I did the same for him last year! He will truly be missed at FNRC. May God wrap his loving arms around the Fuller family during this difficult time.
