Gertrude Ester Barnett, 84, of Waterloo, Ala., died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007. Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 5, from 6-9 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The funeral service will be Monday, Aug. 6, 2007, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Wayne Wood officiating. Interment will be in Barnett-Wright Cemetery, Cypress Inn, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Clyde Barnett; son, Howard Lewis Barnett; sister, Beatrice Delano; grandson, Christopher Dawson; son-in-law, Charles Frazier Sr.
She was a member of Stewartsville Church of Christ.
Survivors include her sons, Joe (Sandy) Barnett, William (Norma) Barnett, both of Florence, and Ben (Connie) Barnett, of Waterloo; daughters, Jane (Robert Barber) Barnett, Janett (David) Brown, Glenda (Dennis Barker) Frazier, all of Florence, and Brenda (Jeffrey) Bell, of Waterloo; sisters, Christene (JC) Hood, Hackleburg, Ala.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brian Barnett, Paul Barnett, Larry Brown, Donnie Pruitt, Ben Barnett Jr., Wesley Frazier and honorary pallbearer, Michael Brown.
Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights, is directing.
