David L. Hall David Lee Hicks Hall, age 74, of Muscle Shoals, formerly of Birmingham, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014. A private service will be held at a later date and burial will be in Forrest Hills Cemetery, Birmingham. He is survived by his daughter, Mischa S. Bishop and husband, Brad, and grandchildren, Brant, Kendall, and Will. David's family expresses a heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Cypress Cove and North Alabama Hospice for the care of our father and grandfather. Rilla E. Hammond LAWRENCEBURG, TENN. Rilla E. Smith Hammond, 85, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Neal Funeral Home, Lawrenceburg. The service will be 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in Lawrence County Memorial Gardens. She was a member of Mars Hill United Methodist Church.

Hand, Bobo*  
Aug. 19, 1963-Dec. 20, 2014 Bobo Hand, 51, of Gurley, passed away Saturday at a local hospital. Bobo was a graduate of UAH and was employed with Jacobs Engineering as an electrical engineer where he was sub-contracted to NASA and the Marshall Space Flight Center, having worked on the International Space Station and receiving the Silver Snoopy Award from the astronauts. Prior to that he worked for Teledyne-Brown Engineering on the CGF project. He was a loving husband and father and devoted family man who loved and cherished his friends. He was also an avid Alabama fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Violet Hand. Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Hand; one son, Logan Bobo Hand; one daughter, Savannah Joy Hand; his brother, Barry (Joann) Hand; and two sisters, Melissa Whittaker and Babbette (Neal) Sparks. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at Maysville Church of Christ, followed by a church service Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Tim Orbison officiating. Burial will follow in Stateline Cemetery, with Berryhill Funeral Home assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Logan and Savannah Hand Scholarship Fund at Redstone Federal Credit Union.

Imogene Hargett Imogene Hargett, age 86, passed away December 15, 2014, at Cottage of the Shoals of Tuscumbia after an extended illness. Her graveside service will be Thursday at Harris Chapel Cemetery at 11 a.m. with Tony Datuin officiating. Mrs. Hargett was a native of Cherokee and a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband, John Hargett; daughters, Glenda Gaisser and Betty Woodis; grandsons, Montey Gaisser Jr., Martin Gaisser, Brock Woodis, and Chad Woodis; granddaughter, Darian Underwood; and seven great-grandchildren. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Doris N. Hatton Doris Nix Hatton, 62, of Sheffield, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014. Visitation will be today, 1-2 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Shane Swinney officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Doris was a Sheffield native and a member of First Baptist Church, Colbert Heights. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Hatton, parents, M.C. and Flora Nix, and one sister, Connie Nix. She is survived by her son, Kevin Hatton, of Orlando, Florida; daughter, Kim Hatton, of Muscle Shoals; sisters, Barbara Terry, of Muscle Shoals, and Sandra Kaye Elom, of Tuscumbia; and grandchildren, Abbey Donaldson and Kayley Donaldson. Pallbearers are Brian Walker, Joe Alexander, Lester Hatton, James Hatton, Preston Hatton, and JJ Alexander. Honorary pallbearers are Coleman Terry, Jerry Elom, and Shayne Terry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Holden, son, Glenn Holden, six brothers, John D., Hollis, Lonzie, Marvin, Garvin, and Dommie Clemmons, four sisters, Madgeline Holden, Delia Cummings, Dorthy Young, and Sue Collins, and special friend, Talmadge Giles. Mrs. Holden is survived by her son, Dale Holden (Shelia); brother, James Audie Clemmons; six grandchildren, Lee Holden (Sharlene), Kelli Holden-Jeffreys (Kevin), Heath Holden, Mitchell Holden (Anna), Tyler Holden (Leah), and Sianna Purser (Ross); 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Pallbearers will be Brad Tank, Gaylon Holden, Harlon Clemmons, Curtis "Junior" Corum, and David Holden.
