Alexandra Connolly

Alexandra Connolly, brilliant artist, Scrabble player extraordinaire, hater of extraneous apostrophes, lover of a good laugh, fan of good music, loyal friend, and red-haired firecracker, lost her long struggle with bipolar disorder on Thursday, May 2, 2013.
She leaves behind her adoring parents, Kevin and Kathy Connolly, and her beloved brother Sean. She is also survived by her grandmothers, Elizabeth Ann Connolly and Shirley Duffy, uncles, aunts and cousins too numerous to name (but all loved very much by Alex), and her dog Quinn.
Born on May 14, 1984, in Gainesville, Fla., Alex was a graduate of St. Joseph Regional Catholic School, Bradshaw High School and Auburn University. Alex was always an artist. She made the world a more beautiful place, as well as a funnier and more interesting one. Please remember her with love.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m., Monday, May 6, 2013, at Greenview Funeral Home. Rosary will be said at the Greenview Chapel at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be officiated by Father Marcus Voss at 11 a.m. May 7, 2013, at St. Michael's Church. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Will Connolly, Adam Connolly, Nick Connolly, Aaron Connolly, Christie Connolly and Jamie Connolly.
Alexandra's vibrant spirit will live on in everyone she touched in her short life. In celebration of that spirit, and of Alex's love of paint and color, please wear your brightest colors to her service.
