Derrick L. King

Derrick Lynn King, 33, of Muscle Shoals, passed away March 26, 2013.

Visitation will be Wednesday March 27, from 6-8 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel in Tuscumbia. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens.

Officiating is Reverend Gary Carter.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Ochie Johnson and Mary Pickens.

Survivors include parents, Crimon and Faye King;

brothers, Devon King (Julie) and Greg King;

nieces, Brittney King Pierce (Chase) and Madelyn Biles;

nephews, Chris King, Chad King (Rhonda) and Zach King.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Derrick graduated from Deshler High School and served in the United States Navy in the Persian Gulf. Derrick's greatest passion was music. He traveled to many parts of the country dee-jaying and producing. He was known to his friends and fans as D-Roc.
