Jesse W. Bendall

Jesse Wayne Bendall, 82, of Russellville, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2014, at ECM Hospital in Florence.

Wayne proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Isbell Methodist Church.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2014, at Spry Memorial Chapel of Russellville. The service will be led by Patty Woodruff.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Callie Robinson Bendall and James "Bud" Bendall, sisters, Daphine Colburn, Barbara Green, and Lee Patterson, and brother, J.R. Bendall.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Cheesbrough Bendall, of 59 years; sons, Stephen Wayne Bendall (Patti), Collin Bendall (Cheryl Ott), and Brian Bendall (Stacie); grandchildren, Brianne Bendall (Steven Turney), Paige Smith (Heath), Kayla Bendall (Jake Tompkins), Abbie Bendall (Zach Sockwell), and Konner Bendall; great-grandchildren, Brayden Taylor and Jasie Sockwell; brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend thanks to the many friends, relatives, and to the staff of ECM Hospital, and a special thanks to Dr. Webb and the fifth floor nurses for the love and care of our family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the building fund, Isbell Methodist Church, in honor of Wayne.
