John Guschke, 95, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Jan. 22, 2014.
Visitation will be today from 11-1 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel, with graveside services to follow at 1:30 p.m. in Tuscumbia Oakwood.
Brother T.A. Duke is officiating.
Survivors include son, Larry Guschke (Linda), of Tuscumbia;
Two daughters, Joan Staggs (Max), of Sheffield, and Helen Hatcher (Andy), of Muscle Shoals; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be, Steven Hatcher, Jason Hatcher, Donald Wray, Joe Rhoden, John Staggs, and John Claude Staggs.
Grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mr. Guschke was a retired self-employed home builder and a veteran of the U.S. Army
He attended services at Cottage of the Shoals for the past two years where he enjoyed listening to Brother Duke. He was of the Baptist faith. He also loved Earl Crowden's music.
