Oladean A. Brown

Oladean Alexander Brown, 88 of Ford City, passed away Nov. 4, 2013 at her residence at Cottage of the Shoals after an extended illness.

Aunt Dean, as she was called, had no children of her own but treated all her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. She was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church. Aunt Dean loved to cook, work in the garden, and travel with family and friends. She was a retired seamstress for Genesco Sewing Factory.

Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 8, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with the service beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Nolan Stanley Brown; parents, William and Minnie Alexander; sisters, Little Evelene Alexander, Irene Barrett, Lorene McGee, Willerdean Osborn, and Josephine Alexander; and brothers, Dillard Alexander, and Delaner Alexander.

She is survived by her sister, Christine Delashaw; brother, Dallas Alexander; and numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.

Pallbearers will be her great-nephews, Eric Ulham, Van Ulham, Cory Ulham, Brad Osborn, Tim Osborn, Todd Osborn and Kyle McCafferty.
