Timothy Wade Richey, 53, left his earthly body on Friday, March 14, 2014 to go be with Jesus, after a tough fight against cancer for two years. His lasting legacy lives on through his family, including: His loving wife of 28 years, Becky Richey; children, Corey, Ryan, and Katie, and their spouses; mother, Wilma, his brothers, Steven, Anthony, and Thomas, and his grandson, Maddox Kiser.
Tim was the last of a dying breed of good men. He was a hard worker, a provider, a great friend, a loving family man, and also a strong man of God. He was the first man to offer you help with anything and the first man to crack a joke at your expense. He'll be remembered for his sense of humor, his willingness to help others, and for "knowing everything", as he liked to remind us all of that fact.
A celebration of this life will be held Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Steve Huskey will officiate.
He will be deeply missed by countless friends, church members, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Hearts ache with the loss of this man, but take comfort in knowing he is walking and singing, pain free, in Heaven with his dad, Rev. Charles Richey, his brother, Ricky, and his Savior Christ Jesus.
