Paula Overton

Paula Marie Overton, age 67, of Florence, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Jeff Street, Brother Henry Melton, the Rev. Lawrenzy Overton, the Rev. F.R. Bryant and Deborah Bell Paseur officiating. Interment will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be the Rev. Johnny Andrews, Larry Nichols, Bit Hyde, Jerry Barringer, David Pierce, Eddie Wiley, Bobby Orr and the Rev. Billy White. Nephews and great-nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mrs. Overton was the wife of the late Rev. Roger Overton who was minister of Weeden Heights United Pentecostal Church. She was a current member of Lighthouse of Jesus Christ Church. She also was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Roberts and Kathryn Marie Roberts.
Survivors include sons, Charles Roger Overton Jr. (Pam), of Gardendale, Daniel Dow Overton, of Florence; daughter, Holli Overton (Bit), of Florence; sisters: Jan L. Kelley, of Lexington, Denise Harrison, of Killen, Shana Barringer (Jerry), of Rogersville; brother, Sammy Jewel Roberts (Tammy), of Killen; special brother, Paul Irons (Jayla); and grandchildren, Brogan Johnson, of Florence, Baileigh Marie Overton, Charles Roger Overton III "Trayten" and Cayden Zane Overton, all of Gardendale.
