 Mrs. Alice Elaine Wood, 73, of Muscle Shoals, formerly of South Bend, Ind., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at ECM Hospital. She was a member of Glendale Church of Christ.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today, Nov. 23, 2012, at Greenview Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, in Greenview Memorial Chapel, with burial in Milford Cemetery, Waterloo. Officiating will be Joel Cauldle, Wayne Wood and Larry Burbank.
Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Rufus Wood, granddaughter, Kimberly Clemons, and a grandson, Shannon Wood Clemons.
Survivors include son, Steve Wood (Derise); daughters, Pam Clemons (Mick), Cheryl Clemons (Larry) and Laurie Wood, all of Florence; grandchildren, Tammy White (Pat), Jason Wood (Misty), Christy Wood (Aaron), Rob Wood (Jaime), Dusty Clemons (Samantha), Todd Wood (Cassie) and Tabatha Haswell (Jason); great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Savannah, Caden, Gracey, Lexie, Tyler, Shaylee, Dylan, Logan, Camilla, Tatum, Mattie, Nevaeh; great-great-grandchildren, Gage and Levi; best friend, Jeanie DePriest; and outstanding caregiver, Wilma Sanford.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Haddock, Dusty Clemons, Jason Wood, Rob Wood, Todd Wood, Larry Riley, Aaron Morrison and Tyler Melton.
Honorary pallbearers will include Bobby and William Robison and Chris Melton.
The family would like to express sincere gratitude to Melanie Twitty and the sixth-floor nurses at ECM
Hospital.
