Imma Dean Cox Porter, age 83, of Lexington, Ala., passed away Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at home after an extended illness. She was a native of Lauderdale County, Ala., a homemaker, and a Baptist.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 12 at Loretto Memorial Chapel. Jimmy Grisham will be officiating. Burial will follow in Pettus Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11 at Loretto Memorial Chapel.
Survivors are son, Donnie Cox and wife, Linda, of Anderson, Ala.; daughters, Martha Michael and husband, Marty, of Lexington, Ala., and Carolyn Gibson and husband, Timmy, of Lexington, Ala.; special friend, Avoline Gutherie of Anderson, Ala.; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by husband, James Marshall "Cotton Porter; brother, James Cox; sisters, Faye Hammond, Emma Gean Howard, Annie Mae Thigpen and Wynell Williams.
Pallbearers are Chris Cox, Anthony Cox, Andy Gibson, Ethan Gibson, Nicholas Springer and A.J. Laster.
