Johnnie Ray Davis, 83, of Florence, passed away Feb. 11, 2013, at his residence. He was the minister of Crossroads Freewill Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, from 6-9 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Brother James Phillips and Brother Charles Hunt. Burial will follow in Community Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Phoebe Davis; brothers, James, Bobby, Ledford and Billy Davis; sister, Chris Nobles; granddaughter, Carrie Parrish.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Wilma Stutts Davis; son, Jonathan Davis (Sherrie), of Florence; daughters, Kathy Parrish (Tommy), Rhonda Gist (Allen), Beth Anders (Tim); sisters, Hassie Franks, Kathleen Clanton, Gertie May, all of Florence; grandchildren, Todd Parrish (Jenny), Jill Farris (Justin), Nick Gist (Nathalie), Brandon Davis (Malana), Matthew Davis (Jana), Paul and Michael Anders, all of Florence; great-grandchildren, Brennan and Brycen Parrish, Kelby and Kendan Farris, Addison and Daisy Davis, Mylan Anders, all of Florence.
Active pallbearers will be George Fowlkes, Jimmy Wear, Jeff Stutts, Edward Bates, Junior Clanton and James Paul Nobles.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lloyd Valentine, Larry Nard, David Woods and Rod Townsley.
