Michael C. Cooper

Michael C. Cooper, 67 of Florence, Alabama, went to be with Jesus on November 5, 2013, after a long battle with lung cancer, which he fought to the end. Michael was born in Huntington, West Virginia on November 8, 1945, to the late John Henry and Angie Cecil Cooper whom he loved very much. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1964-1966. He worked at ALSCO (National Linen Service) for 30 years until his retirement in 2008. It was while working here that "Mike" crossed paths with so many people; he never met a stranger.

Michael attended Faith Church for 28 years. He loved Jesus and put God first in his life and he loved his family. On December 12, 1975, Michael married the absolute love of his life and best friend, Karen. He was the best husband and daddy that one could ever imagine. He always had a special love in his heart for his brother David. In his family's eyes he was an amazing man and he loved unconditionally. He was a blessing to his children and grandchildren and was loved so very much and will be missed until we all meet again.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 7, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday, November 8, 2013, at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Brother Tommy James officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
