Tommy "Big Don" Barnett, 46, of Florence, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010.

Visitation was Saturday at Elkins Funeral Home, Florence. The service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, in the funeral home chapel, with Brother Jack Jones and Kevin Willis officiating. Interment will follow at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Big Don was owner and operator of XVW, was a 1982 graduate of Bradshaw High School, where he was active in wrestling and football, and an avid fan and impersonator of the Blues Brothers.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy L. Barnett.
Survivors include his children, Abby Barnett, of Waterloo; sons, Joshua Barnett, of Huntsville, and Donavon Barnett, of Waterloo; mother, Pauline Young Barnett; brother, Tony Barnett and wife, Cindy, of Killen; grandchild; Kaden Benson; nephews, Brian and Chase Barnett.
Pallbearers will include Rickie Hendrix, Josh Johnston, Michael Carmack, Bruce "Spidar" Boodrow, Justin Benson, Will "Blane Evans" Poague, Chris "Big Spade" Parker, Jonathan Word, Roger Fountain, Chase Barnett, Tony Barnett and Kevin "Enigma" Willis.
Honorary bearers will include anyone associated with NW Alabama Wrestling.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the ICU staff of ECM Hospital, to Dr. Holden and the nursing staff. A special thanks to Harmony.
